This is the most important part because it is the single point of release and what we talk about in the straight line release. Radial and ulnar shaft fractures, also known as adult both bone fractures, are common fracture of the forearm caused by either direct trauma (hit by bat) or indirect trauma (fall).

A forearm fracture occurs when there is a fracture of one or both of the bones of the forearm. The two bones of the forearm are the radius and the ulna. Both bones are important for proper motion of the elbow and wrist joints, and both bones serve as important attachments to muscles of the upper extremity. 1 The ulna is a long bone found in the forearm that stretches from the elbow to the smallest finger, and when in anatomical position, is found on the medial side of the forearm. It runs parallel to the radius, the other long bone in the forearm. The ulna is usually slightly longer than the radius, but the radius is thicker.
